that reaffirmed for me that, "THE BATTLE TRULY BELONGS TO THE LORD."  As I rested in that FACT this week, reciting the statement, "The Battle Belongs To The Lord" over and over and over again.........God was fighting the battle........every day........behind the scenes........unbeknownst to me.   And since God was fighting it and not me........ground was being regained.........Satan was being bound.........progress was being made. 

 

Tonight, God took me to II Timothy 4:2b which says, "correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction."  This is where Satan tripped me up........where I faltered........where I failed to trust.........where I 2nd guessed myself.  But God is telling me tonight through this scripture and through the phone call this week, "No, you were correct, you said what I called you to say, and now I am using it for good."  And then, "Keep going, Sherry.  Keep doing and saying what I put in your heart and then leave the rest to me." 

 

A children's song that I used to sing with my children when they were young keeps resonating in my head; 

      Trust and Obey

      For there's no other way

      To be happy in Jesus

      Than to trust and obey.

That's really all He wants of me, to simply Trust and Obey Him. 

 

I'm learning, God!  I'm growing, God!  I'm being stretched, God!  And it is oooooh, so GOOD!  To God Be The Glory!
