I received a letter this week.....a letter from Ray (not his real name).  Remember Ray?  I wrote about him in my Blog of August 15th, 2008 entitled "Be Ready To Give An Answer For The Hope That Is Within You".  Ray carried a 20 lb. sack of flour out of the Basha's grocery store for me in Whiteriver, AZ on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation and we had a wonderful conversation about Jesus.  

In his letter Ray said, "I still remember that you gave me a Bible.  I still got that.  Bless me Sherry, I'd like to know, are you coming down here again?  I'd sure like to see you again."  I was thrilled to receive that letter from Ray because in it, God showed me that He used me to make an impact on Ray's life for Jesus.  In that letter I see that Ray is wanting to hear more about Jesus. 

 

I'm so glad to be here in Indiana with my family but I  do so miss being on the Rez, sharing Jesus with people like Ray, who are eager to hear the Good News.  I will continue to do my fall and winter work here out of my home and will eagerly anticipate spring when I can return to the reservation and continue my "Jesus" relationships with people like Ray. 

 

I will also write a letter back to Ray, sharing the Jesus that is so real to me; the Jesus that has changed my life; the Jesus that shows me unconditional love; the Jesus that is everything I need; the Jesus that is so BIG, that everything He has done for me, He wants to do for Ray and for every other single person in this world that is willing to turn their heart towards Him.  All thanks be to God for allowing the Holy Spirit to work through me, being Jesus to the people that He brings across my path.  What a mighty God we serve!  To God Be The Glory!
