I've led three projects this summer, and have one to go. Much went wrong on those three projects but much more went right, God truly showed Himself faithful. As I prepare to leave tomorrow (Saturday) to lead my last project of the summer on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation in White River, Arizona, God is telling me to continue to trust Him, that He has proven Himself faithful and He won't let me down. In my devotions this morning He took me to Ephesians 1:3-8, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love, He predestined us to
be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will-to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding."
This project had a great beginning at set-up but then all the planning began to be challeneged by the enemy. All the pre-planning was in turmoil over the summer......and I had to continually place the project at the feet of Jesus, knowing and trusting in my heart that God has shown Himself faithful in the past and will show Himself faithful in the future. Then, at the beginning of this week, everything turned around and the entire project fell into place. I was overcome with peace and gratitude for God's grace in teaching me to trust in Him.
Wednesday brought new turmoil to the project, but God is right there walking through it with me. He is telling me, "Sherry, if I have blessed you with every spiritual blessing in Christ, chosen you before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless, loved you, predestined you to be adopted as my daughter, given you redeption through Jesus' blood, forgiven your sins and lavished you with my grace, don't you think that whatever happens with this project will work for your good and be for my glory?"
And, of course, the answer to that question is "Yes! Yes! Yes!" That scripture fills me with power for my life.....the power that Jesus gave to me on the cross to enable me to lead this project no matter what the circumstances. I am a child of the King........it just doesn't get any better than that!!!!!!!
